Goat and alpaca farm in Normandy

A visit to the goat and alpaca farm in La Baleine is a great activity for children.

Just a 15 minute drive from Gavray, you can take a guided tour. I visited in 2015 and as we were the only people for the tour the owner, Benoit, explained about the goats and alpacas in English. Children are able to get up close to the goats although the alpacas are more timid. Benoit’s wife, Cecile, knits and weaves with the mohair and alpaca wool and sells a range of handmade items in the shop. You can also buy from the online shop.
