The gite comfortably sleeps 6 people plus a baby. It’s a converted a barn that has been converted to provide a spacious and contemporary living space. Downstairs is a large light and airy entrance hall. There’s plenty of storage space here and a practical downstairs cloakroom too. Just off the hallway is the kitchen/diner which is a very sociable space to relax with friends and family. The kitchen is very well equipped – perfect for foodies. Guests also receive initial supplies of household items, tea towels, hand towels and a welcome basket of produce.
The downstairs lounge is spacious with seating for 6 people. A wide range of French TV channels are available. English TV channels are BBC1 and 2, ITV 1/2/3//4, Channel 4 and BBC World News. A well stocked bookcase of English and French books, puzzles, DVDs and children’s toys complete the entertainment amenities. The wood burning stove is perfect for cosy evenings snuggled up with your loved ones. A basket of wood is given from October through to March. Central heating means the gite is available all year round.
A door from the lounge leads to the rear garden. It’s is fenced with a gravelled patio area, lawn and flower beds. Guests can eat al-fresco as there’s a table and chairs. A BBQ, sun loungers and a sun umbrella are also provided.
All three bedrooms are located upstairs. The master bedroom is a generous size and has a king sized bed (160 x 200cm). There’s storage space under the bed together with a chest of drawers, bedside cabinets and a wardrobe. A comfy sofa has been added. The large shower room comprises a shower cubicle, toilet and washbasin. There’s storage space for toiletries and a heated towel rail.
Along the landing is a second shower room. This is used by the remaining two bedrooms. The pink room has a chest of drawers, bedside cabinets and a wardrobe. For complete flexibility the bed can either be a superking (180 x 200cm) or two twin beds (90 x 200cm). The blue room is slightly smaller but has the same storage facilities and options for different bed configurations.
The different bed sizes offered work well for extended families and also groups of friends. All bed linen is provided and beds are made up on arrival. Square French and rectangular English pillows are available. The bedrooms have roller shutters to block out the light. The mattresses are firm but do have toppers on them making them very comfortable. Both shower rooms have hairdryers. Each person is supplied with a bath sheet and hand towel. There is a basket of wash mitts too.
To the front of the property is the courtyard with plenty of parking. Lots of little extra touches are designed to make guests feel as if it’s home from home. Equipment and toys for children make it very family friendly.

What Our Guests Say
Location
The gite is between the villages of Lengronne and Gavray in La Manche region of Normandy. Gavray has a few bars and restaurants, a supermarket, three boulangeries, a butchers, tourist office, pharmacy, post office and a Saturday morning market. Gavray is just a two to three minute car drive away.
Within 20 - 25 minutes are the larger towns of Granville, Coutances and Villedieu-les-Poêles. They offer a wider range of shops, restaurants, sites and attractions. Further afield are Mont-Saint-Michel, Bayeux and the D-Day landing beaches. Quiet roads make these accessible for a day trip and the opportunity to explore the extensive coastline as well as Normandy's history and heritage.
Gavray is under 90 minutes from the ports of Cherbourg, Caen Ouistreham and Saint-Malo. It's also around a four and a half hour drive from Calais and four hours from Paris.
