A Quality Restaurant in Trelly, Normandy
A recent find for a great restaurant to recommend to guests is La Verte Campagne in Trelly. It’s only a ten minute drive away from the gite so very convenient and food is wonderful.
The Trelly restaurant is run by an British couple. On offer is traditional French fare in a very picturesque setting. In the summer climbing roses adorn the exterior of the farmhouse. My visit was out of season and arranged privately. My starter was a salmon fishcake with accompanying salad. For the main course I enjoyed a tasty wild boar casserole with pastry topping. A tarte tartin (a carmelised apple tart) was served with an apple sorbet and vanilla cream.
They’re open in the evenings during peak season and out of season according to demand. You need to book in advance and certainly won’t be disappointed by the quality. Using local produce in season guarantees the quality.
