Bayeux in Normandy is home to this beautiful cathedral and just a 75 minute drive from Gavray. The medieval town, with its cobbled streets, is associated with William the Conqueror, the Bayeux Tapestry and the Battle of Hastings. The cathedral, which originally housed the tapestry, was consecrated by William, Duke of Normandy and King of England on 14 July 1077.

Lovely place, Bayeux, small but perfectly formed!
Sounds like a lovely place to explore.
I remember going to see the tapestry when I was a teenager, really impressive. Thanks for the memory +Gavray gite rentals, Normandy France
Bayeux is an interesting place! Was there a few years ago and got the chance to see the famous tapestry… Amazing!
